Silas

He is so active right now.  I had forgotten how busy little boys can be.  He is very particular these days.  For example, he can't stand footed pajamas.  It drives him bonkers as soon as I start putting them on.  He turns up his little pug nose and kicks and has a fit.  Also, he can't stand the feel of grass on his feet.  It's become mine and Jake's most favorite way to trap him.  If we sit him on the lawn, he'll stay exactly where we put him, holding up his little bare feet.  He just doesn't like how the grass feels to him, he's got some kind of sensory thing going on.  He will just stay put until somebody comes to rescue him.  It's so cute.  He's throwing great fits now as well.  He got upset at church on Sunday and threw his shoe ACROSS the aisle and it hit one of our senior members in the ankle.  I was humiliated.  So obviously the moral of the story is that I need a lot more sanctification based on my humiliated response...  Silas on the other hand might just be ready for the paddle!

Oh no, dad, I hesitate to ask... but, what is Plop Echo?

Sounds like his biggest brother, remember the "mother of all fits" he threw at Jakes winging?

Way to go Silas!
That's funny about the grass on his feet.

I remember dad, I am so glad you were there to whisk him away. I think I was about to be completely undone. What a little stinker he was then and how fine a young man he is now.

Plop Echo? One drops a bag of frozen vegetables from the ref, the sound waves echoed from the bag hitting the floor is amazing and soothing to Grandpa Reynolds!

yes, Jakes winging, and the fit for the ages, we remember a fit Jake had as a one year old at a chinese restaurant in Mount Shasta city California, he threw rice all other us and the people seated next to us, to say the least the good paddling was required.

I have to defend Silas ... given the fact that he is only 1 ... his aim is a bit off! He wasn't aiming for an ankle ... hmmmmmm ... what did he have in mind?

Mom, you are so sweet to defend Silas, I know you think he's a sweet defenseless lad, just you wait...

Dad and Mom, Jake talks about the rice incident often and how you guys were so embarassed that you got up and left?? Is that true?

Jake wanted to leave Colby at a Cici's Pizza in Corpus Christi one time when he was 2. He was throwing the biggest fit... I told Jake, we can't leave him, he has to come with us!

Christie, Yes it is true. it was at the lamplighter chinese restaurant in Mt Shasta City in the winter of 1975. Mom grabbed Jake with his little legs just a flying a different directions and vacated the premises while I stayed behind and help the poor waitress clean up the rice on the carpet. Mom and Jake can tell you of many temper spells they witnessed out of sinful me sulking after not doing well playing fastpitch softball.
