In my previous post I wrote: "Silas's crib." Is that right? Should I have written Silas' crib? I find myself confused with the proper way to right this. I should consult Brenda Shirley, I am sure she could help.
Technically speaking, "Silas's" is grammatically correct. "Silas'" is becoming a more common and acceptable form of use, however. Feel free to use either one.
On a somewhat related note, let us know whether you would like tobe the Reynoldses or the Reynolds Family, because families with last names like yours and the Thomases (Thomas Family?) drive us CRAZY when it comes time to addressing envelopes. We have been resorting to "The Reynolds Family" in our confusion and hopelessness.
I agree with your friend Christy. After my many years attending a Catholic school, one thing was hammered into my brain; grammer. From what I can remember, it is Silas's.
